1ST JAN VAN WELIE INVITATIONAL CELEBRATED AT PUNTA ESPADA

This past Sunday June 10th in an atmosphere of utmost camaraderie was celebrated the 1st Jan Van Welie Invitational golf tournament in the grounds of the Punta Espada Golf Course.  Member players of the Punta Espada Golf Club and the Santo Domingo Country Club in a friendly battled enjoyed of the sunny fairways of the world renowned Punta Espada Golf Course. The tournament was played in a pairs Scramble format.

Mr. Jan Van Welie was the Dominican Republic’s first Juvenile Golf promotor in the 70’s, using as his headquarters the Santo Domingo Country Club, sponsored by TANG Juice.
