Apple Leisure Group (Secrets Cap Cana) Visits the Dominican Tourism Minister

The Dominican Tourism Minister, David Collado, received the international hotel executive and CEO of Apple Leisure Group, Alex Zozaya, in his office on September 28. The meeting was held at the ministry’s facilities and is part of the support that the hotel executive has been giving to the new national government and to the plans for the safe reopening of tourism in the country.

Minister Collado assured through his social networks that, “we received Alex Zozaya, Executive President of Apple Leisure Group (ALG), responsible for bringing more than a million tourists of American origin to the country, whom we visited in Philadelphia a few months ago to plan the winter season and analyze initiatives to attract more tourists to our country.
“During his visit, Zozaya ratified that the protocols and measures established by the present government are superior to those implemented throughout the region,” said Collado.

AMResort support to RD
The hotel company AMResorts made a great commitment to the country’s tourism sector, demonstrated on July 1 (first day of reopening of international tourism in the DR) with the reopening of two of its properties in the Punta Cana destination, the Dreams Macao Resort and The Secrets Cap Cana Resort. There are also plans to reopen the Dreams Dominicus La Romana in the Bayahibe destination on October 1.

Visit from Collado to Zozaya
The Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Collado, traveled to Philadelphia days before he started being Minister to meet with Alex ZoZaya, Ceo of Apple Leisure Group, the mother company of the hotel company AMResorts, to coordinate the beginning of his efforts for the firm reopening of the tourism in the country.
At that meeting, Alex ZoZaya exchanged ideas with Collado on the protocols and biosafety measures required to offer health guarantees to visitors and promised to make the greatest efforts to reopen his properties in the country, with the program that he has been implementing since July of this 2020.
