Beyond the classroom setup, kids learning remotely will benefit from the on-site Children Concierge who, when your kids are on a remote learning break, will take them to enjoy a snack and quick activity before returning to their lessons. Once the school day wraps up, each child participating in the learning program can choose up to two (complimentary) extracurricular activities, including dance classes, Spanish lessons, piano lessons, swimming lessons, arts and crafts, or even educational sessions with the Cap Cana sustainability and ecological expert.

In true island fashion, The Shore Club Turks & Caicos recently launched a learning program called The Conch Kritters Classroom. The classroom is housed in the resort’s Jungle Jam treehouse, and can be reserved for up to two hours at a time for your child. Between the classroom space and the expansive suites, perfectly outfitted for families keen on a long-term stay, there is plenty of room for kids to learn from afar while parents work remotely. The certified teachers leading the Conch Kritters Classroom also offer private tutoring and supervised learning experiences. Kritters can take kite-making and kite-flying—the resort is right on Long Bay Beach, a globally recognized location for kite-boarding—or cooking classes. They are also committed to bringing hands-on learning safely back into children’s curriculum. To that end, they’ve recently partnered with the Reef Institute in West Palm Beach to offer kids a five-day, four-night Ecology Field Trip Package. Led by a certified instructor from the Reef Institute, children will delve into the world of marine ecology and earth science, discovering the barrier island on which The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island is situated. From studying the coastal biosphere and unique water systems to kayaking and enjoying their time outdoors, the program is meant to inspire young scholars.
