MARGARITAVILLE ISLAND RESERVE CAP CANA BY KARISMA’S CONSTRUCTION STARTS WITH AN INAUGURAL EVENT

With an investment of US $ 150 million, the hotel complex whose opening is planned for 2021, will consist of 519 rooms operated by Karisma Hotels & Resorts under the Margaritaville and Karisma brands, being Karisma’s second property in the Dominican Republic.

Margaritaville and Karisma Hotels & Resorts began the construction of the innovative Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma hotel in Cap Cana, in an event held with the presence of the President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina Sánchez, accompanied by Rafael Féliz Germán, President of Karisma Hotels & Resorts, John Cohlan, Executive President of Margaritaville Holdings and Francisco Javier García, Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic.

Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma serves as the introduction of this award-winning brand to the Dominican Republic and expands Karisma’s presence in the region. With an investment of US $ 150 million, the new property will create 1,100 new jobs. Its opening is scheduled for 2021.

Located in the tourist, hotel and residential destination of Cap Cana, in front of Juanillo beach and along the Caribbean Sea, the hotel project will consist of 519 rooms, operated by Karisma Hotels & Resorts under the Margaritaville and Karisma brands, providing a unique luxury but casual experience, with first-class amenities and a relaxed beach atmosphere for guests who value exceptional quality without ostentation. With a focus on families, the hotel complex will offer amenities, services and a diverse gastronomic proposal. This, in combination with Margaritaville’s true sense of fun and relaxation, promises to be a new favorite tropical vacation destination in the Caribbean. Guests will receive calypsos and welcome drinks upon arrival, which will convey the refreshing experience they will live in Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma.

Local flavors and moments of surprise and delight will be present in the seven restaurants and three bars that the Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma Cap Cana will have, including the exclusive 5 o’ Clock Somewhere Bar. The oceanfront property allows guests to have a very personalized vacation, with ample space to swim in any of the three swimming pools of the complex and in the St. Somewhere Spa by Karisma, ideal to rest and relax. Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma Cap Cana will offer an extraordinary setting for weddings and private events, including Sky Weddings overlooking the sea and the blue sky. Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma Cap Cana will be the fourth property of the Island Reserve collection, which represents a historical association between Karisma and Margaritaville. The new resort follows the confirmed properties of Island Reserve in Cancun, Riviera Maya of Mexico, and Jamaica, which all open in 2020.
