The opening of the main sports marinas to national and foreign nautical tourism has experienced an increase in the arrival of vessels in August and with it an activation of capture and release fishing, promoted in Marina Cap Cana.
After the reopening of tourism and sports marinas at the national level, the arrival of foreign vessels has experienced a significant increase during the month of August, thus activating sport fishing, especially blue marlin, and positively impacting the revitalization of the sector and the economy.
With well-established protocols that provide all safety to sailors, Cap Cana marina’s nautical operations have received vessels from the United States, generating a significant increase in catch-and-release fishing with a minimum average of 12 daily releases.
Positioned in the top 10 of the best destinations for sport fishing in Blue and White Marlin by The BillFish Report organization, attracting over the years a large community of national and international fishermen, the Cap Cana marina with its promoted fishing modality and governed by catch and release, it has contributed to minimizing environmental impact and preserving beaked marine species, such as blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish.
