SECRETS CAP CANA SUPPORTS 2,000 FAMILIES WITH FOOD KITS

The Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa, from the resort chain AMResorts, one of the companies of Apple Leisure Group reinforced more than two thousand families with the delivery of food kits.

The donations, that add up to a value of RD$2,200,000, were delivered to staff from the resort and many institutions, such as the el Tourist Security Specialized Corps (CESTUR) to whom different supplies were donated for the production of 3,500 meals per week in the Bávaro – Punta Cana zone.

As informed by the general manager of Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa, Lionel Gómez, also 300 families were reinforced in the Anamuya community in Higuey, through the excursions company Runners Adventures.

Equally, through the volunteering of Banreservas, executives of the resort delivered 930 food kits that contained different articles of the first necessity to vulnerable families of different communities.

Gómez also informed that 157 food kits were delivered to the families of the students of Juanillo School, which is sponsored by the resort, which has 153 children from the same community. In addition, 230 food kits were also donated to different communities.

“With these donations, we are not only fulfilling our duty of helping the most vulnerable and bordering communities of our resort during this difficult time that, we may be physically apart, but we must be united like never before, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic”, expressed Daniel Hernández, regional vice-president of operations in  The Dominican Republic of the resort chain AMResorts.
