Cap Cana asks to develop sustainable tourism

Cap Cana highlighted the importance of developing responsible and sustainable tourism, as well as caring for the country’s ecotourism and environmental spaces, in connection with the celebration of World Tourism Day.

The real estate and hotel destination highlighted that tourism represents a sector of great relevance for the development of cities and the country, maintaining it and promoting it responsibly from the cultural, environmental, nautical, real estate, and hotel aspects.

Jorge Subero Medina, executive president of Cap Cana stated that: “As a country, we have this great challenge and that is why we must develop actions that not only attract the large national and international markets for their consumption but also invite them to take care of natural resources we have and create awareness of caring for the environment ”.

He highlighted how, as a result of the pandemic, the government, through President Luis Abinader and Tourism Minister David Collado, developed a vaccination, consolidation, and promotion plan for tourism, working together with the private sector in the face of to meet this challenge.

“We need to promote more programs to protect our species and particularly our coasts, encouraging people who visit each of our destinations to perceive the respect we have for our natural wealth and join in collaborating with their preservation. Tourism, in general, is the greatest asset of our local economy, and the greatest attraction we have worldwide ”, he concluded.


Cap Cana pide desarrollar un turismo sostenible

La ciudad destino Cap Cana destacó la importancia de desarrollar un turismo responsable y sostenible, así como del cuidado de los espacios ecoturísticos y medioambientales del país, a propósito de la celebración del Día Mundial del Turismo.

El destino inmobiliario y hotelero, resaltó que el turismo representa un sector de gran relevancia para el desarrollo de las ciudades y del país, manteniéndolo y promoviéndolo responsablemente desde los aspectos culturales, medioambientales, náutico, inmobiliario y hotelero.

Jorge Subero Medina, presidente ejecutivo de Cap Cana expresó que: “Como país tenemos este gran reto y por eso debemos desarrollar acciones que no solo atraigan los grandes mercados nacionales e internacionales para su consumo, sino que además les invite a cuidar de las riquezas naturales con que contamos y crear conciencia del cuidado del medioambiente”.

Resaltó la manera en que, a raíz de la pandemia, el gobierno a través del presidente Luis Abinader y el ministro de Turismo David Collado desarrolló un plan de vacunación, de consolidación y de promoción del turismo trabajando de manera conjunta con el sector privado de cara al cumplimiento de este reto.
