The destination Cap Cana thanked the Dominican Tourism Press Association (ADOMPRETUR) for recognizing the city in the category of Hospitality, Investment, and Development. An award that was received during the celebration of the second edition of the Luis Augusto Caminero Award.
Mr. Fernando Hazoury, president of the board of directors of Cap Cana, highlighted that he receives this recognition with great appreciation, which also coincides with the fact that they are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the beginning of this dream, that is the development of the most exclusive destination city in the Caribbean and Latin America.
He also added that Cap Cana is a city in size with a great potential for tourism, real estate, hotel development, and a wide variety of complementary offers, with standards that are always aimed at exclusivity, safety, and environmental care. Offer a world-class lifestyle where people are in contact with nature and also with everything that tourists and homeowners are looking for today.
He applauded ADOMPRETUR for organizing this event and for highlighting the emotional moment, about the role played by personalities such as Mrs. Rita Cabrer and Mr. Luis Augusto Caminero in the beginnings of tourism in the Dominican Republic, when no one believed in the impact that today this would have.
He took advantage of the occasion to applaud the management currently carried out by the central government from the tourism cabinet. In addition, he highlighted how strengthened the country emerged from the Covid 19 crisis, the leader in the Caribbean and Latin American region, which is why it was recognized earlier this year in Excellence Awards during the framework of the FITUR 2022 fair for the recovery and the growth of Dominican tourism.
Hazoury extended his congratulations to all the other winners and urged them to continue working for the country and for tourism from all private, public, and union sectors.
