WHO IS WHO? – FRANK CRESCITELLI

Specializing in Fly-fishing & Light Tackle, Frank and his team of Captains do it all from back bay for Striped Bass, Blues, & Weakfish to offshore fishing in the canyons for Tuna, Marlin, & Sharks. Capt. Frank has been fishing NY Harbor/Raritan Bay for over 30 years. He has been guiding for the last 15 years, as owner of Fin Chaser Fishing Charters for New York City, the area’s original full time Fly & Light Tackle guiding business. Since expanding to the “Jersey Shore”, Fin Chaser is the only saltwater, Orvis Endorsed, operation in all of New Jersey. Guiding well known celebrities like Wade Boggs, Author & IGFA Vice Chairman-Robert Rich, Jr., Actors Ed Burns and Ethan Hawke, the late Clarence Clemons, and “Top Chef” Tom Colicchio has earned him the moniker; “Guide To The Stars”.

Capt. Frank in one of the most visible and successful guides in the NY/NJ area. He heads up the Regulator Boats fishing Team, Mercury Marine Pro (new), Raymarine Pro Ambassador, Optima Battery Pro Staff, Pro-Staff & field tester for Guides Secret, Orvis, Fin-Nor, & Quantum Reels, Cortland Line, Sage, Redington Z-man plastics, & just to name a few.

Capt. Frank has become a very connected and outspoken conservationist whose passion for protecting the waters is only matched by his love of it. This passion led him to become Chairman and founder of the Fishermen’s Conservation Association (FCA), the largest fishing conservation association on the NY/NJ area. For the last 14 years, Frank has also co-chaired the two largest and highest profile fishing tournaments in the Northeast: the FCA Manhattan Cup and FCA Montauk Slam Redbone. Also serving as auctioneer for Redbone tournaments from Buffalo to Islamorada. In 2007, Frank became the first ever Saltwater guide to be presented with the prestigious “Orvis Guide Conservationist Of The Year Award”. For the last 4 years, Frank has dedicated himself to honoring returning veterans by including Wounded Warrior Project in these tournaments, and this year developing “The FCA Heroes Homecoming Tournament” solely for that purpose.

Frank, a previous International Game Fish Association world record holder, has guided his clients to world records of their own. While Frank began his guide business specializing in fly-fishing and light tackle, offshore fishing called him. Over the last 9 years, he has redirected his passion to Tuna and White Marlin fishing. In 2004, he won the Oldest white Marlin tournament in the world, the White Marlin Invitation.  Frank and his well equipped center console, took on the big old battlewagons and won. His boat “Regulator” (now Fin Chaser) have earned its place in the record books, the only center console to win the title to date.
