ADOMPRETUR swears the new directive

The Dominican Association of Tourism Press (ADOMPRETUR), swore in the new directive of its subsidiary Higüey: Strengthening, in a ceremony held in the area of ​​Los Establos at Cap Cana.

Yenny Polanco Lovera, president of ADOMPRETUR, swore in Livio Mariano S. Cedeño, as the new general secretary of Adompretur Higüey, along with the other members Masiel Peña (undersecretary); Nelly Pérez Bonilla (Director of Training); Ángel Cordones (Director of Tourism and Culture); Meibol Sánchez (Director of events); Reina Hernández (Director of Finance); José Luis Montero (Director of Public Relations); Kenny Polo (Director of Institutional Relations) and Baldy Cabrera (Member).

Lovera highlighted the importance of the provincial branches of the union and of each of its members, in the work that national ADOMPRETUR can develop in favor of Tourism in the Dominican Republic.

Meanwhile, Livio Mariano Cedeño, thanked Cap Cana, for the willingness and collaboration of his new management as the local head of the journalistic entity. He also highlighted the importance of the provincial press and called on business sectors to contribute to the sustainability of local media.

The event ended with the words of the engineer, Abraham Hazoury, Member of the Cap Cana Council, who highlighted the importance of creating a provincial dialogue table, where social, political and business leadership actors can ensure the development and sustainability of the East region.

Hazoury also highlighted the importance of journalistic work and the way in which its message impacts society, urging the new members of ADOMPRETUR to have a much broader vision in each of the actions carried out by the union, and the importance of knowing how to influence from your role.

Posthumous tribute:

The activity was also the chosen setting for the celebration and delivery of a Posthumous Tribute to the family of the deceased engineer Darío Yunes García, a former member of Adompretur Higüey, declaring him as “Precursor of Gastronomy and Ecotourism of Higuey, Altagracia Province”, through Resolution No. 12-2021 issued by the mayor of the municipality of Higüey, Rafael Barón Duluc.

The activity was attended by the tourism, political, social, and communication leadership of the La Altagracia province, as well as the main directors and members of the Cap Cana council.

La Asociación Dominicana de Prensa Turística (ADOMPRETUR), juramentó la nueva directiva de su filial Higüey: Fortalecimiento, en un acto celebrado en el área de los Establos de la Ciudad Destino Cap Cana.

Yenny Polanco Lovera, presidenta de Adompretur Nacional, juramentó a Livio Mariano S. Cedeño, como nuevo secretario general de Adompretur Higüey, junto a los demás miembros Masiel Peña (subsecretaria); Nelly Pérez Bonilla (Directora de Capacitación); Ángel Cordones (Director de Turismo y Cultura); Meibol Sánchez (Directora de eventos); Reina Hernández (Directora de Finanzas); José Luis Montero (Director de Relaciones Públicas); Kenny Polo (Director de Relaciones Institucionales) y Baldy Cabrera (Vocal).

Lovera destacó la importancia de las filiales provinciales del gremio y de cada uno de sus miembros, en el trabajo que ADOMPRETUR nacional puede desarrollar a favor del Turismo en la República Dominicana.

En tanto que, Livio Mariano Cedeño, agradeció a Cap Cana Ciudad Destino, por la disposición y apertura en colaboración de su nueva gestión como responsable local de la entidad periodística. Destacó además la importancia de la prensa de provincia, e hizo un llamado a los sectores empresariales a contribuir en la sustentabilidad de los medios locales.

El acto finalizó con las palabras del ingeniero, Abraham Hazoury, Miembro del Consejo de Cap Cana, quien destacó la importancia de crear una mesa provincial de diálogo, donde los actores de liderazgo social, político y empresarial puedan velar por el desarrollo y la sostenibilidad de la región Este.

Hazoury destacó además la importancia de la labor periodística y la manera en que su mensaje impacta en la sociedad, exhortándoles a los nuevos miembros de ADOMPRETUR a tener una visión mucho más amplia en cada una de las acciones que desde el gremio se realice, y la importancia de saber influir desde su rol.

Homenaje póstumo:

La actividad fue además el escenario escogido para la celebración y entrega de un Homenaje Póstumo a la familia del fenecido ingeniero Darío Yunes García, ex miembro de Adompretur Higüey, declarándolo como “Precursor de la Gastronomía y el Ecoturismo de Higuey, Provincia la Altagracia”, mediante la Resolución No. 12-2021 dictada por el alcalde del municipio de Higüey, Rafael Barón Duluc.

La actividad contó con la presencia del liderazgo turístico, político, social y comunicacional de la provincia La Altagracia, así como de los principales directivos y miembros del consejo de Cap Cana.
