Two Relais & Châteaux Chefs Come Together For A Week-Long Culinary Collaboration in the Dominican Republic

The popular Caribbean resort known for its out-of-the-ordinary experiences, Eden Roc Cap Cana, is thrilled to welcome a fellow Relais & Châteaux property, The Little Nell, to Punta Cana for a series of curated culinary experiences this May 11–14, 2022. Culinary Director Matt Zubrod of The Little Nell, will bring the intimate, cosmopolitan dining style this Aspen, Colorado, property is known for to the only Relais & Châteaux in the Dominican Republic, collaborating with Eden Roc’s Executive Chef Adriano Venturini for a culinary journey that combines the best of both properties.
Chef Adriano Venturini leads the diverse culinary program that has put Eden Roc Cap Cana on the map as a celebrated gastronomy destination, where the various restaurants’ on-site offer unique, curated menus that are brought to life with the settings – each with individualized décor. With this partnership, every dining experience will be enhanced by an unrivaled setting, from the iconic fine-dining restaurant Mediterraneo to the festive La Palapa on the water, and the all-day BLUE Bar & Grill.
“We are excited that Chef Matt Zubrod will be bringing a taste of Aspen to the Caribbean, sharing his innovative, fine dining skills with our guests,” said Managing Director at Eden Roc Cap Cana Stefano Baratelli. “The multi-day residency will combine Chef Zubrod’s Alpine and coastal influences with the classic flavors found at Eden Roc.”
“I’m thrilled to be working with Chef Venturini to introduce some of our signature flavors from The Little Nell to Eden Roc Cap Cana,” said Chef Matt Zubrod. “Our prize-winning Wagyu beef is a favorite element in my cuisine and I’ll incorporate this in dishes during my visit. The Little Nell is also known for artfully curated food, wine, and service,. which I’m excited to share with Eden Roc guests.”
Chef Zubrod’s professional history includes working at luxury resorts in Aspen, Boston, Naples, and California, as well as in Hawaii, where he opened two properties as executive chef. He takes a creative approach to cooking, tapping into regional ingredients with an intuition for guests may be craving in each destination and continuously innovating new ways of preparing unique cuisine.
For this special culinary program, there will be three different dining experiences offered, each with a curated menu at the property’s elegant, Mediterranean-style restaurants — La Palapa, Mediterraneo, and BLUE Bar & Grill.
Chef Zubrod and Chef Venturini will conclude the program with a collaborative American-style brunch.
