ELECTRIC PARADISE COMPLETES ITS 2016 LINEUP
Electric Paradise returns to Dominican Republic with a new genre diverse lineup to be held on December 17th.
Electric Paradise is a annual music festival held in Cap Cana in La Altagracia, Dominican Republic, and began its journey on December 26, 2014. This year the stages will be divided into the Live stage, the Circoloco stage and the Dance stage.
Tropical house is cool, but house in the tropics is the real deal. So is electro and trance – shoot, why not some hip-hop? Electric Paradise festival in the Dominican Republic is all that and more. The third-annual event just unleashed a massive three-stage lineup, featuring headliners Armin van Buuren, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Zedd, Marshmello, and more.
The live stage features an eclectic mix from the indie dance-pop heroes Hot Chip, latin american pop icon Juanes to hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg. The Circo Loco stage is Ibiza approved with Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, and Circoloco residents System of Survival, among others.

For more than 20 years, the Grammy-nominated Dutchman has been living to the rhythm of his own international success. His five-time number one position in the critically acclaimed DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll has been the result of his loyalty to fans, his creativity in the studio, the perseverance with which he hosts his weekly radio show ‘A State of Trance’, and the energy he brings to the crowds in front of him. Despite the heavy pressure that comes along with being one of the world’s most popular DJs, Armin has always kept his focus on the music. And that’s exactly what keeps him going.
His music career began in 1992 when he was discovered by Dr. Dre of N.W.A, and as a result was prominently featured throughout Dr. Dre’s solo debut album, The Chronic (1992). He has since sold over twenty-three million albums in the United States and thirty-five million albums worldwide.
A Grammy-nominated producer, DJ Snake is a Frenchman at the forefront of the trap music movement, having taken the genre to the charts with his 2013 single “Turn Down for What” featuring Lil Jon. Snake’s production work on Lady Gaga’s 2011 effort “Born This Way” earned him a Grammy nod when it was nominated for Album of the Year in 2012. Also in 2012, he signed with Diplo’s imprint Mad Decent and released the single “Bird Machine” on the label in 2013. The singles “Slow Down” and “Together” also arrived in 2013, along with more work for Gaga on her ARTPOP album. In 2014 he collaborated with Dillon Francis on the single “Get Low,” while 2015 saw him join MØ and Major Lazer on the worldwide hit “Lean On.” His 2016 solo single “Middle” featured guest vocalist Bipolar Sunshine, and preceded his debut album Encore.
His musical style includes groove-oriented, synth and bass-heavy electronic dance music. Inspired by other masked DJs likeDeadmau5 and Daft Punk, Marshmello appears wearing a full-head-covering marshmallow helmet. Despite the anonymity, his career received international recognition in 2015 when he began releasing tracks online, including remixes of Zedd’s “Beautiful Now“, Jack Ü’s “Where Are Ü Now” and others.
Matoma has become a staple in the tropical house genre. A music producer and pianist from Norway, he loves to compose electronic music with groovy bass, percussion and synths. The love for music with great dynamic pump is a must, but also music that is produced with soul and passion. It’s essential to create an atmosphere permeated by good vibes and tones. In addition to being a producer, Matoma is also a DJ. In just 5 months he went from totally unknown, to 10.000.000 plays on his different remixes, including officials for artist like Enrique Iglesias, Imagine Dragons, Tegan & Sara, Truls and Marit Larsen.
Is a disco/house music alias of Los Angeles producer and music extraordinaire Felix Bloxsom. Mainstream pop to indie artists like Adele, Katy Perry, Mark Ronson, Sia, The Human League, Body Language, The Presets, Sam Sparro, Sneaky Sound System, The Magician and more have all sought Plastic Plates for official remix duties since debuting in 2010.
While only in his early twenties, Dutchman Sam Feldt has become quite the deep house tastemaker of his day. With amazing remix work as well as solid hits like the early 2015 release ‘Show Me Love’, which proved to be his definite claim to fame, he’s one of the DJs to watch when it comes to a new sound flooding the scene.
Sam Feldt is definitely not a stranger to the house music scene. After working behind the scenes as a producer for a long time, perfecting his musical talents, he decides to show the world what he’s capable of by uploading his first tunes by the end of summer ‘13. Within a year Sam signs with Spinnin’ Records and releases his first track on the label.
Drawing from his diverse musical background spanning from classical to post-hardcore/metal to electro house Zedd’s music not only draws from uncommon sources but also has the ability to appeal to an audience outside the realm EDM. His originality and momentum will unquestionably propel him into the ranks of superstars.

With four recording projects that consolidate it as one of the most important Colombian bands at national and international level. With their first album (Vol. 1,2006) get the approval, interest and reception of the media and mainly Colombian public; his second work (Estalla/Blow Up, 2008) opens doors to the stage and most international media which leads them to be elected in 2010 as the best new band of the World by MTV Iggy.
Canadian grown (legally), New York formed duo is one of the latest acts to release on the boutique label Scissor and Thread. Although only cordially discussing music and life in the same high school art class in Vancouver BC, it wasn’t until several years later that they bumped into each other at a Lowe’s parking lot and teamed up to make the act now known as Bob Moses.
It was formed by the need to express their social ideas through rhymes with roots style. The band recorded their first studio production titled; “Canción de Alerta” at Jamaica in the recording studio of Bob Marley. A year later they released their second studio album titled “Ideas Nuevas” in which experienced and merged with musical styles like hip-hop, bossa nova, trip-hop, jazz, bachata, carranga and others.
One of the most distinctive and innovative bands combining dance music and indie in the 2000s and 2010s, London’s Hot Chip made their mark with the release of their 2000 debut, Mexico. The EP was a hypnotic wash of nearly subliminal, pulse-like techno beats, acoustic guitars, and plinky pianos, but the vocals were the true star of the show. The voices of Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard are a fine study in contrast: Taylor’s dreamy, effortless falsetto cuts to the heart of the beauty of performers like Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake, while Goddard’s cool monotone sounds world-weary and gruff in comparison.
His compositions strictly reflects personal experiences and it goes from love to humor and double meaning, where the message got a social high content and peace. To date, Juanes fans have purchased more than 12 million of his albums worldwide. He won seventeen Latin Grammy awards, been always the first in his category.
PillowTalk is Sammy D, Ryan Williams and Michael Tello. Based out of the famous Lower Haight District in San Francisco, PillowTalk’s music fuses classic R&B, boogie and disco with underground house and techno with an original feel. With releases out on Visionquest, Life & Death and Wolf + Lamb, 2012 is shaping up to be a huge year as they hit the road with the live band.

Both living in Zurich, each regularly performing as DJ’s, and both named Adrian S., perhaps it was inevitable that Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer would meet in 2008 and form a near instant friendship. Perhaps it was destiny. But it’s the professional bond that followed for which we are so lucky, a bond that would help them ascend the dance music community as the production and DJ duo known as Adriatique.
The mysterious allure of musical vibrations can perplex and intrigue in equal amounts at the best of times, not least when the sorcery of a certain Damian Lazarus comes into play. Crosstown Rebels, Day Zero, Get Lost, Rebel Rave, his own DJ and production career, the discovery of a wealth of influential talents…all of these achievements and more make him not only one of the most respected exponents of the contemporary house and techno scene, but also one of its key tastemakers and pathfinders.
Born in Siena, raised in Naples, it took a trip to London for Davide to finally discover electronic music. Wooed by the mood and sound of the British scene, he returned to Naples flush with energy, excitement and a knowing that this new calling would consume him.
Jamie’s revolutionary sound is an instrumental part of his success, being both artistically innovative and yet easily accessible. He and his label, Hot Creations, have been credited with creating an iconic sound that has paved the way for a warmer, more melodic, deeper side of techno to emerge. In early 2012, Jamie was voted the number one DJ in the world by Resident Advisor. He continues to be seen as a leader in his field and an innovator who will dictate the direction of a booming industry.
Famously as fluent behind a mixing console as in front of a virtual drum kit. That technical prowess, combined with a fascination for music of every shape, has resulted in outstanding releases on influential labels such as Planet E, Four:Twenty, Cocoon, Poker Flat, Nervous and Desolat.
Pietro ‘Bingo’ De Lisi and Alex Carpentieri, are dedicated purveyors of all that is good in house music. They’ve held a residency at the legendary Circo Loco at DC10 in Ibiza since its inception. Their ability to carry a crowd, seamlessly blend styles and support the countless guest DJs is a true testament to the role of a resident and led them to fly the Circo Loco flag across the globe.
This year’s festival will offer a food fair, technology expo, story-telling, natural adventures, and art installations highlighting the location’s natural beauty.
